Sergeant Patrick D. Thompson
On September 02, 1994, at about 1:00 P.M. Sergeant Patrick Thompson was driving south bound on State Route 82 about one mile south of the town of Patagonia. For some reason never learned, Thompson’s unmarked police car crossed the center line and was broadsided by an International travel-all. Sergeant Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene and Christopher Medlock, the driver of the truck was transported to Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales.
