Public Safety Telecommunicators
The Communications Division currently employs 10 public safety telecommunicators also known as radio dispatchers. Their main responsibility is to answer 911 emergency calls for service and dispatch police, fire, or medical personnel to calls for service.
The division works four (4) ten (10) hour shifts. The shift schedules are as follows:
Day Shift 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Swing Shift 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM (+ .25 per hour differential pay)
Graveyard Shift 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM (+ .45 per hour differential pay)

Salary Range: $31,395 - $39,357
Candidates need to pass a typing assessment.
